About.
Jeffrey M. Beck, Esq.
Jeffrey M. Beck is the founder of J. Beck Legal, PLLC, a boutique Connecticut litigation practice offering drafting services, local counsel representation, and private mediation. He launched the firm with a simple premise: attorneys facing high-stakes motions deserve access to high-quality briefing. Fast, confidential, and priced transparently.
Jeff built his legal career at one of Connecticut's most respected litigation firms, where he spent five years focused on what he does best: dispositive and significant motions in complex cases. He has drafted winning briefs in Connecticut Superior Courts, the Connecticut Appellate Court, the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals — including emergency briefing under extreme time pressure at every level. He is recognized by Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for Commercial Litigation (2025–2026) and Medical Malpractice Law: Defendants (2026).
What distinguishes Jeff's work is not just the writing but the analysis behind it. Many of the matters he handles involve dense medical, technical, or factual records where the winning argument is buried in the details. He brings the same rigor to understanding the record that he brings to the brief itself.
Before law school, Jeff spent six years in retail mortgage banking at one of the nation's largest lenders, where he was nationally recognized as a top individual loan originator for three consecutive years. He left a successful career in business because he wanted to apply his instincts for negotiation and persuasion at a higher level and across a wider range of problems. That same drive continues to define his legal practice.
Jeff earned his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2022, where he served as Membership Editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal and Interscholastic Director of the Negotiation and Dispute Resolution Society. He earned his B.A. from Michigan State University in 2012.
